１０日午前７時半ごろ、愛知県新城市の東名高速道路上り線の新城パーキングエリア付近で、観光バスに乗用車が衝突。バスの乗員乗客は４５人が負傷し、うち６人が腕の骨を折るなど重傷、３９人は軽傷だった。乗用車の運転手は車内に閉じ込められ、救助されたが死亡が確認された。
